Position hired as an Systems Engineer AEII — AEV (depending on experience).

Position Summary:
Systems Engineer for design and development of an ECLSS subsystem for a commercial spaceflight provider. Work with customers to develop technical concepts and finalize customer-provided product specifications. Define internal requirements for product design, assembly, test, and validation. Support program management tasks including team building, day-to-day team management and coordination, schedule development and tracking, budget performance monitoring, and reporting.

Required Skills / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Mechanical, Bio-mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent field and at least 5 years with system and /or hardware design experience in the Aerospace Industry
  • Knowledge and experience on aerospace projects and components (commercial and Government) from requirements definition to build and test, in at least one of the following discipline areas: ECLSS Systems Design, Crew systems and Crew Cabin Design, Design formulation, and/or Human Factors. Experience with thermal control systems (TCS) and environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS).

Position Summary:
Design, manufacture, integrate, and test Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) for applications in space, on the ground, and under the sea. Independently and/or collaboratively develop and apply solutions of moderate scope and complexity, and competently perform and solve standard assignments. Understand and apply principles, concepts, practices and standards, with a full and competent knowledge of engineering, industry and company practices.

Description of Duties:

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for operational ECLSS used aboard spacecraft as well as terrestrial vehicles and facilities  
  • Oversee the manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, and delivery of ECLSS hardware and systems
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into ECLSS solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Ensure delivered ECLSS hardware and systems are correctly integrated into customer vehicles/facilities and operate per design specifications
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  • Develop ECLSS solutions to a variety of complex problems

Supervisor: CFO

Position Summary: Manage financial details about all Paragon activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about Paragon’s future. Perform professional accounting activities for specialized, complex and/or functional areas requiring the expert knowledge and professional application of accounting principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards, current laws and company policy.

Description of Duties:

  • Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
  • Reconcile all accounts monthly
  • Maintain records and files of capital equipment. Ensure accurate depreciation allocations and determine depreciation schedules in conjunction with the CFO
  • Maintain and process payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions and other payroll functions
  • Generate accurate preliminary statements within 10 days of the last day of an accounting month
  • Compile financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purposes
  • Supports audits of company’s accounts
  • In coordination with the CFO, develop financial processes for accurate and timely input of labor and financial data. Special emphasis on the accurate and timely entering of reimbursable expenses to ensure accurate billing of such expenses
  • Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process

  • Assist in the research and development of the companies benefit plans

Reports to: Sr. VP of Operations

Responsibility:
This position is responsible for providing the supply chain resources required by Paragon’s programs, coordinating multiple program support through manufacturing of product both with internal resources and external vendors and ensuring the highest level of quality technical output from the manufacturing team.

Position Summary:
Ensures that the company has the skilled personnel and tools for manufacturing process from requirements to delivery to support Paragon’s operations and growth. Responsible for planning and directing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization for the manufacturing department. Provide EXCELLENT service to the Design and Test functions of the company to build the right product, the first time, in a timely manner.

Duties in support of responsibility:

  • Implement vision of manufacturing.
  • Directs and oversees Paragon’s manufacturing processes.
  • Support capital investment planning. Research and identify major capital purchases needed for manufacturing and present final selection with recommendation to the executive team for approval.
  • Direct all corporate make/buy decisions to manufacture or purchase component parts.

Supervisor: Manager, MIS

Position Summary:
Responsible for the research, design, implementation, maintenance and the secure and reliable operation of Paragon Space Development’s information systems in support of its business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain and troubleshoot networking equipment.
  • Setup, configure, maintain and troubleshoot firewalls and security appliances.
  • Manage and troubleshoot all circuits and network connections to include corporate and guest wireless networks.
  • Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency.
  • Responsible for assisting in the selection, planning, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures.
  • Manage wiring and cabling in server room and patch panels including remote locations as needed.
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy management, updates and maintenance.
  • SQL database maintenance.
  • Assist in virus protection and remediation.

  • Evaluate and test technical solutions for use with Paragon systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience TCP/IP networking, DNS, security considerations, and clustering technologies.
  • 5+ year’s hands-on experience designing, implementing and configuring complex routing/switching network environments from scratch.
  • Network administration experience with routers, switches, LAN, WAN, and dynamic routing protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SNMP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP and other networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 desktop environments.
  • Experience with performance tuning/capacity planning of servers and networking equipment (hardware and software levels).

Position Summary:
Evaluates, selects and applies quality engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, to a broad set of quality functions in the specific knowledge area of expertise. 

Description of Duties:

Develop processes and systems that ensure the quality of company products and services. Provide quality system review to validate the integrity of quality decisions that affect product and services.

Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections to assure product conforms to released engineering and customer requirements.

Reviews and approves all planning documentation, ensures that all required inspection points are properly identified.

Review and approve purchase orders to assure that all necessary quality clauses are identified.

Perform Root Cause Analyses.

Recommend and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions that are necessary to reduce or eliminate nonconformances.
