Paragon Space Development Corp’s tireless work in the aerospace industry earned it the 2007 Innovator of the Year award in the Small Company category.
Founded in 1993, Paragon is a full-service aerospace engineering and technology development firm. Spokeswoman Leslie Melton said the company’s goal is to become the market leader in environmental control and life support systems.
Paragon develops systems designed to sustain human life in any vehicle, in any environment – in space, on dry land or in water. It also designs subsystems for the aerospace industry, specializing in thermal controls for spacecraft in orbit and during re-entry, and for hypervelocity aircraft.
Jane Poynter, co-founder and president of Paragon, was a member of the original team to live and work inside Biosphere 2, an artificial ecological system in Oracle, north of Tucson.
