Atmosphere Revitalization Systems
The ARS performs the following life support functions:
- Carbon dioxide control and removal
- Oxygen production
- Atmospheric temperature and humidity control
- Trace contaminant control and removal
- Cabin air circulation

One of Paragon’s ARS solutions is a compact, functional subsystem with a modular design that is directly derived from our Commercial Crew Transport – Air Revitalization Subsystem (CCT-ARS) developed for NASA.
Paragon’s Humidity Control Subassembly (HCS) incorporates our patented Ionomer-membrane Water Processing (IWP) technology and provides cabin atmospheric humidity control using no moving parts aboard Boeing’s Crew Space Transportation (CST)-100 Starliner. The CST-100 Starliner is a next-generation space capsule that will take people to and from low-Earth orbit. The modularity and simplicity of the system makes it conducive to commercial use in non-space applications such as mine shelters and submarines. Paragon is also currently designing an Atmospheric Revitalization System (ARS) for an Artemis programs which includes trace contaminant control.
